After Langeac (2004), Nadaillac (2008), and Florac (2012) the 4th Circaetus meeting took place in Roquefixade (the Ariège Department), on October 8th and 9th, 2016. Dec 15, 2012 / Comment

The HoverOverUs • Short-toed-Eagle site started 7 years ago. Now it is a collection of various materials dedicated to Short-toed Eagle with various navigation tools which help to find quickly (as we hope) what you exactly need. Here is a short review of the content:

I » First of all the Texts section121 text documents, 77 of which are placed on our site and have roughly translatable versions; among them collection of unique specialized periodical bulletin, La Plume du Circaète, is put separately because every issue of it can be attributed to too many Categories on the site.

II » 35 photo galleries – many images have explanations of scenes of Short-toed Eagles’ life which are difficult to be found anywhere else; among them special Age/Sex Handbook – Photos of Short-toed Eagles of age & sex known for certain – created in 2011 by initiative of Francesco Petretti.

III » Among Videos we would like to mark Françoise Gérardin’s film “Jean-le-Blanc au pays des sorcières” – the full-length video has recently been uploaded to YouTube in memory of the author; and also Vincenzo Rizzo Pinna‘s videos made by automatic cameras.

IV » The Maps sectionRegions Map is one of important navigation tools to help finding needed content; others are just more or less successfull attempts to find a new way of information collecting.

V » This post is 215th since 2005 – please use the detailed Categories menu to navigate them all; Categories describe mainly forms of representing information and we are going to use also post tags for fuller and more clear describing the subjects.

VI » Circaetus gallicus contact group (i@short-toed-eagle.net) – we hope to collect here as many as possible experts and observers who have own unique experience in researching Short-toed Eagles.

VII » During seven years only 106 comments have been left on the site – so, it is not a place of active conversation, but nevertheless I write here “we” because remarkable things have appeared on the site thanks to remarkable not indifferent people, thanks to their help, their interesting ideas and sincere support!

with gratitude and hope for the common support in the next 7 years,
