Short-toed Eagles are here

Autumn 06 migration map. Short-toed Eagle (CIRCAETUS GALLICUS) / by DARAWSHI S.

Hi! Short-toed Eagles are here. 3 out of 4 S.t.Eagles with satellite transmitters are now here in Israel /map/, the fourth located in Egypt on its way to us!
See migration map of Autumn 06 where 3 eagles wintered in Sudan, one on the borders of Sudan with Chad!

  1. Sameh Darawshi says:

“© 2007 Europa Technologies, Image © 2007 NASA, Image © 2007 TerraMetrics and also © 2006 Google” is from google earth, I get that when i import the map into a JPEG picture, these are the details and rights of google earth.

As for timing of migration, only this year i have satellite transmitters and no way to compare with other years by this technique. My hunch tells me we have no difference in the timing of migration but i could be wrong.

    Hi Sameh!

On your map I see notes: © 2007 Europa Technologies, Image © 2007 NASA, Image © 2007 TerraMetrics and also © 2006 Google.
What do they all mean? Could you tell shortly, how the map has been gotten?

    And one more question:
In Ukraine we observe earlier than usual Short-toed Eagles arrival this year. As far as I know there is the same situation in Belarus and Gironde (South-Western France). So what about Israel? Are the arrival dates usual or not?
