Circaetus gallicus information navigator

About the project

The most important goal of the project is to show on an example of the Short-toed Eagle all the complexity, all the diversity of knowledges about one species, about just a separate narrow group of representatives of the animal kingdom, of life on the Earth. Multiplying this large but always incomplete amount of knowledge by the number of species on the planet gives a general idea: what biodiversity actually is and why it must be conserved.
Short-toed-Eagle – the name
meaning nothing… Should we
think we know them enough
to give them an exact name?

All links to texts have notes of the original language (ISO 639 Language Codes). In view of that we must remark: most of texts dedicated to Short-toed Eagle are not in English. We don’t have a possibility to translate them all. In addition to lack of time we clearly understand that any translation corrupts the sense to a certain extent. If you do it by your own, the quality of the result will depend on an extent of your interest to the subject. You can use for this some online translating systems (similar to Babelfish and Google Language Tools, for example) or some personal interlanguage translator. They give quite acceptable results if the subject isn’t absolutely unknown to you. Besides, some texts have summaries in English.

except possible damage to it.
