This article was published as the result of A. V. Kuznetsov‘s four years’ observations on a pair of the birds in the mentioned region.

If you are interested in some documents on Short-toed Eagles in Russian you should visit a website of the Working Group on Raptors of Northern Eurasia. We have told about this resource several times. Now he is a head of the Working Group on Raptors of Northern Eurasia and also he is a honorary member of the Russian Bird Conservation Union. This is the presentation of two old texts of the first part of the XX century. One of them was written by Viktor Zebe:

The second is Nikolay Gavrilenko‘s work, that is mentioned in the first one:
